Active Release Technique

Active Release Technique (ART) is a manual therapy that combines movement and manipulation to treat soft tissue dysfunction. Dr. Kyle utilizes ART in combination with conventional adjustments to treat problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, and fascia (connective tissue).

ART therapy can help relieve tissue tension by breaking up scar tissue and adhesions that can develop from repetitive use or overload. ART therapy is effective at promoting blood flow and faster healing, and helping restore motion and increasing mobility.

Active Release Technique can also be used to treat everything from strains, sprains, to other musculoskeletal disorders. These hands-on, movement-based protocols are designed to quickly reduce pain and restore function, faster and more effectively than conventional therapy methods.

Dr. Kyle is currently the only ART Certified Elite Provider practicing in Happy Valley. Schedule an appointment today to learn how ART therapy can deliver the positive results you've been searching for.

The Manual Adjusting Technique is the most common form of chiropractic treatment administered in practices throughout the world. Dr. Kyle uses the Manual Adjusting Technique to directly apply pressure to misaligned areas of the body using his hands or palms as needed. Patients often leave their appointment feeling less tension, more energized, and with reduced discomfort.

The Thompson Drop-Table Technique is also utilized by Dr. Kyle during his chiropractic treatments. This technique uses an adjusting table that contains segmented drops. These drops lower various parts of the patient's spine quickly, either in the dorsal, lumbar, or pelvic areas, depending on which area is being treated. When appropriate, this technique may be used to deliver effective adjustments with reduced force.

Activator Method Technique

The Activator Method is a treatment system used by many chiropractors to treat various types of back pain, neck pain, and headaches (both chronic and migraine).

The Activator Method uses a small, hand-held instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument to deliver a gentle impulse force to the spine and extremities, with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint. It is an alternative to the traditional manual form of spinal manipulation. The Activator Adjusting Instrument is reported to be one of the most common therapeutic treatments used by chiropractors.

Dr. Kyle may use the Activator Method as one part of your comprehensive treatment plan.
